Dance Movement Therapy uses movement as a form of communication to unlock feelings & experiences that may be otherwise difficult to express through words.

This form of mind body therapy is beneficial for people of all ages from children to adults and can address a wide range of issues.

The American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA)
defines dance/movement therapy as the
psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote
emotional, social, cognitive and physical integration of the individual.

DMT is an alternative therapy.

Therapists encourage participants to discover their range of motion, mind body connections, movement preferences, physical limits, strengths and creative abilities.

Movements, postures, and gestures reveal our emotions, passions.

Therapists help clients to break free from stereotypical patterns and build new movement relationship.

In creative dance therapy, the therapeutics of dance is a priority. It is not about perfection, aesthetics or performance.
